The European scale change
With the new regulations, the A+, A++ and A+++ classes have been eliminated to make room for future innovation. A modern absorption or thermoelectric minibar is often placed in class E or F.
This does not mean it consumes a lot: on the contrary, efficiency has improved, but the measurement scale has become much stricter.
Absorption vs Thermoelectric: real consumption
Peltier (thermoelectric) technology is currently the most efficient solution on the market, ensuring low consumption while maintaining excellent silence.
Absorption consumes slightly more, but repays the investment by guaranteeing absolute 0 dB, essential for guest sleep in luxury rooms.
