Design integration: how to build in the minibar
01

The airflow path

The cooling unit (both Peltier and absorption) extracts heat from the cabinet and dissipates it at the back. If hot air cannot escape upwards, the minibar stops cooling.

It is mandatory to provide a lower air intake grille and an upper outlet grille, ensuring a natural "chimney effect".

02

Drag hinges and alignment

For perfect integration, the furniture door must be attached to the minibar door using a drag hinge. This allows the guest to open the fridge with a single, smooth movement.

Always check that the furniture hinges can support the weight of the outer door without forcing the minibar's door.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I lock the minibar in a cabinet without holes?

The system overheats, consumption triples, and the minibar stops cooling, risking failure within months.

Can I build in a glass-door minibar?

Yes, but the cabinet will not have a solid outer door. Rear ventilation must still be guaranteed.
