What is the quietest minibar for a hotel room?
An absorption or thermoelectric minibar, because neither uses a compressor. Page 10 of the Vision 2023 catalogue declares ten PAMIBAR models at 0 dBA: the absorption models SEA25, SEA30, SEA30/40G, SEA40, SEA40DX and B60, and the thermoelectric models S30T, S40T, SG30T and SG40T.
What is the difference between absorption, thermoelectric and compressor minibars?
Absorption has no moving mechanical parts and is the choice for silence near the bed. Thermoelectric (Peltier) units are quiet and include the lowest declared consumption in the range: 0.52 kWh/24h for the SG30T and SG40T. Compressors deliver more cooling power for warm climates and resorts: the SGC40 is energy class B.
How much electricity does a hotel minibar use?
For PAMIBAR models with catalogue data, declared consumption ranges from 0.52 kWh/24h (SG30T and SG40T) to 1.1 kWh/24h (SEA40DX and B60). Real consumption depends on climate, position, ventilation and how often the door is opened. The Technical data page estimates it for the number of minibars in your project.
Can a minibar be built into furniture?
Yes, as long as warm air can leave the cabinet and cooler air can enter. For under-desk or bed-base installation there is the SEA40DX drawer model. Check the niche dimensions, door movement and maintenance access before ordering.
Solid door or glass door?
A solid door disappears into the furniture; a glass door shows the drinks and encourages in-room sales. Glass-door versions exist in absorption (SEA30/40G), thermoelectric (SG30T, SG40T) and compressor (SGC40) technology.
