Automatic defrosting
Modern Dometic and Pamibar minibars are equipped with automatic defrosting. Ice forming on the internal coil melts cyclically and the water evaporates outside.
Housekeeping must never use knives or sharp objects to remove ice: puncturing the gas circuit is the most common accidental damage in hotels.
Detergents and gaskets
Clean the interior only with warm water and neutral detergents. Aggressive or bleach-based products yellow the plastic and dry out rubber gaskets.
The magnetic door seal must be cleaned gently to ensure a perfect airtight closure.
