Peltier technology: how the minibar of the future works
01

The thermoelectric effect explained

The Peltier cell is a solid-state electronic component. When electrical current passes through it, it transfers heat from one side to the other.

The 'cold' side is positioned inside the minibar to lower the temperature, while the extracted heat is dissipated at the back via a heatsink.

02

Ecological benefits and maintenance

By not using toxic or flammable refrigerant gases, Peltier minibars are the most ecological choice available. The absence of heavy mechanical parts guarantees almost total silence and a very long lifespan without maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Peltier minibar make noise?

The system itself is 0 dB. The only element generating a slight (almost imperceptible) hum is a small rear dissipation fan, which is often magnetic and ultra-silent.

Is it suitable for very hot areas?

It is perfect for temperate and air-conditioned environments. If room temperatures constantly exceed 30°C, a compressor model is recommended.
